The esq-1 Reboot is basically the easiest way to use the factory sounds from the Ensoniq ESQ-1 without actually owning one.
Alternatives:
1) You can upload the 40 original factory patches to a "real" ESQ-1 or SQ-80 using a program like Midi-OX using a sysex file called: Int-BanksRB.syx
2) You can use SQ-8L - a 32 bit virtual ESQ-1 VST Instrument - which can play the same sounds using an 8XL library file called: Int-BanksRB.8XL NB You may need a program like jbridger to create a 64 bit bridging file if you want to use SQ-8L.
